Privacy
Brass CRM is built so that your customers’ details never come to us. The program runs on a computer in your office and keeps everything there. This page says exactly what that means, and the little that we do hold.
On your computer — never sent to us
- Contacts, companies, phone numbers and email addresses
- Calls, visits, notes, follow-ups, tasks and deals
- The logins and passwords of the people in your office
- Backups, which are encrypted and go wherever you choose — a USB drive or another office computer
We have no copy of any of this and no way to get one. The installed program is only allowed to connect to our licence server; every other outgoing connection is blocked inside the program itself. The pages it shows cannot load anything from the internet either.
What the program sends us
Once a day, when the internet is available, four things:
- your licence key (or licence number),
- a random number that identifies this installation — not your computer’s name or serial number,
- the version of Brass CRM, and
- how many people have a login — a count, never names.
When you ask to move your plan to a new computer, that computer also sends a yes to that request, and nothing about the old computer.
We use these to check the licence is valid and to tell you when an update is available.
What our website holds
- Your account: your name, business name, email address, and the phone number and city if you gave them. Your password is stored scrambled; we cannot read it.
- Your licences: the plan, the number of people and computers, the end date, and for each computer the random installation number, the version and the login count above. Licence keys are stored scrambled too.
- Messages you send us, such as a request to buy.
- Records of changes to licences — who issued, extended or cancelled what, and when — kept so any dispute can be settled from facts.
Visits to our website
On our website (crm.saharacyber.com) we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, from the company that hosts the site. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other websites. For each page opened it records:
- the page address, without anything after the “?” except the campaign tags (utm_…) of the link that brought you — so the codes in our email links are never included;
- the website you came from;
- your country, region and city, worked out from your internet address — the counts are not tied to that address;
- the type of device, and the operating system and browser with their versions.
Visitors are told apart for one day at a time, without being identified. We also count when an account is created (with the language used), when someone asks to buy (with the plan chosen and whether they were signed in), and when the installer is downloaded (with its version) — never with a name, email or phone number. Our admin pages are not counted. The installed program counts nothing and sends none of this.
Who else sees it
- The companies that host our website and its database, and the service that sends our emails. They handle it on our instructions only.
- Nobody else. We do not sell or share it.
Your office’s data is your responsibility
Because the records are on your computer, you control who can see them: the people you add in Brass CRM, and anyone who can use that computer. Keep Windows locked with a password, keep the recovery code somewhere safe, and keep backups on a drive that is not the same computer.
How long we keep things
Account and licence records for as long as your account is open. Invoices and payment records for as long as tax law requires. Close your account and we remove the rest within thirty days.
Your rights
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will do it within thirty days. Write from the email address on your account.
