Terms of use

These are the terms on which you use Brass CRM. They are written to be read rather than to be impressive.

What you get

A licence to install Brass CRM on your own computer and use it in your business, for the number of people and computers your plan covers, until the licence ends. Updates released while your licence is current are included.

Where your data is

On your computer. We do not hold, see or back up your CRM records. Keeping that computer safe and taking backups are your job; Brass CRM does the backups automatically once you have chosen where they go, and warns you when they stop. See the privacy policy.

Your account and your office

  • You are responsible for your website account and for keeping its password to yourself.
  • You decide who in your office has a login to Brass CRM and what they may do.
  • You must be entitled to hold the contact details you put in.
  • Keep your recovery code safe. Without it, nobody — including us — can open your backups on another computer.

What you may not do

  • Use one licence on more computers, or by more people, than it covers.
  • Change or get around the licence check, or share your licence key outside your business.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages using contacts stored in Brass CRM.
  • Resell the software, or use it to build a competing product.

Trial and payment

New accounts get a free trial with no card. After that a paid licence is needed to keep adding and changing records. Prices are shown in rupees on the pricing page.

When a licence ends

Brass CRM becomes read-only: you can still open, search, export and back up everything, but not add or change records. We never lock you out of your own data. If a licence is cancelled — for example after a refund, or for breaking these terms — the same applies from the computer’s next check-in.

Availability and liability

The program runs without our website; if our site is down, your office carries on, and a licence keeps working for up to 45 days without a check-in. We do not promise the software is free of faults. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months, and we are not liable for data lost from your computer. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you may stop and ask for a refund of the unused part of your licence.

Law

These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts of Gujarat have jurisdiction.

This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Have somebody qualified read it before you rely on it.
